Transfers for “hardship”
« on: January 20, 2019, 08:57:13 PM »
Does anyone know if they will still let an inmate transfer for “hardship” reasons?  For example:  An inmate’s loved one cannot travel 3 hours to come see him, but could manage 1 hour due to a disability. First I heard they used to let them, but then I heard they don’t anymore. Anyone know?  Thank you!

I haven't heard of them doing that for a while but I do believe they still consider this on a case by case basis.  I would have your loved one contact his counselor to find out any specific information on this request.

Ivanrs2 .. do they still make them choose 3 transfer locations and sometimes they will send you to another than the one you actually wanted to go to?
