Menard segregation

My husband put in seg on a tobacco charge. Not sure of how that transpired. I heard that is like a drug charge and can be in seg for a year?
Can anyone share experience on seg in Menard. Thank so so much in adavane

I'm so sorry about this. I'm honestly not sure about how they could charge him but could see how it might be  a contraband charge. All seg is the same as for no movement, no phone. Mail will still be allowed and books too I would think. Call the mail room to verify first. I hope he doesn't get time added and pray it's not a year in seg.
