Institutional transfers
« on: April 01, 2018, 06:40:37 PM »
My hubby was put in for an institutional transfer by his old counselor on February 28 because of his security classification. Itís been sitting in the wardens office for a month now. How long do they have to approve or deny it? Also does the transfer request expire since it came from the counselor and not my hubby?

I can give u the number to the Illinois transfer coordinator officer u can ask specifically about your husband's status, if that's helpful.  I'm in a similar situation except I'm trying to prevent the transfer from happening

Most inmates are told they are placed accordingly..  Even if they put in for a transfer to a specific prison, they can move them to their other choices.. They used to have to put 3 choices down for transfers.
