State and Federal employees get the day before or the day after as a holiday if that Holiday is on a weekend.  I work for the state and its across the board, not just IDOC.

Lol erwife i know you wont agree with me since you work for the state lol but i think that is ridiculous. If thr holiday falls on a weekend oh well it falls on a weekend. I dont think tax payers should have to pay holiday pay not should we have to deal with offices being closed just because they want an extra day off for the holidays. I think if the holiday falls on a weekday fine but if not suck it up and deal with it like eceryine else
Waiting till we can be together again.....💑💘💋

Hello,
I am completely new this whole thing. Can anyone tell me if we are allowed visits during the holiday? To my understanding visits are allowed on Holiday's.

Yes you can visit on the holidays but they count as a weekend visit.
