Transfer out of blue

So, my loved one has been at Hill since May, and was supposed to visit him for the first time next week.  He found out today that he's being transferred.  He obviously had not requested a transfer as he had not been there long enough.  He has no disciplinary tickets, so that's not why.  What's going on?  Will this reset him back to the 6 months necessary to apply for work release even though he did not request this transfer?

Who knows?  The whys of transfers are up to the IDOC?  In the almost 4 years we've dealt with IDOC (via our son) the whys escape us.

Where is he getting transferred to?

When my L/O transferred I received the notification the night he arrived @ the facility.

If your number was on his list before he will not have to add it again.
