There is no official list, but keep anything with contraband, guns/knives/alcohol away and nothing with penetration from going in and you should be OK.

What magazine did they want to send?

I've used InmateMags before as my son wanted some outdoor fishing magazines and truck magazines. They went in just fine.

I have also gotten him a subscription to Playboy becuz I personally think its just a little weird for old lady Mom to bring in Playboy to her son when I go to visit (lol).

She said she wanted to send Sports Illustrated but that it wasn't on the "approved" list...I'll have to ask her where she saw this list. Thanks for your replies!

Sports illustrated is acceptable. I sent that to my LO for a couple of years.

I sent my hubby Sports Illustrated, he always received them and they are still being forwarded to our home.
He's home!
