Reduced Sentencing Help
« on: February 12, 2015, 10:06:38 PM »
Is there any appeal or resources I can reach out to discuss the possible of reducing the 85% requirement for time on a aggreviated DUI charge.  It seems like with the overcrowding of the prison that this would be an option..  Alot of charges get 50 % requirment.  Seeking any help I can get ..

If the state statute requires an 85% sentence for the conviction, then the judge has no leeway to reduce it to 50%.  If the conviction is appealed and he/she is convicted of a lesser charge then any new sentence would be set to the current statute.
There is no action better at creating insanity in a person than trying to control something you have no control over.

Only do whatever you are willing to pay the consequences for.
