"Good time?"

Do they automatically figure in good time? For example, if someone gets 4 years. I know it cut in half to two. But I'm trying to figure out if they have gve him credit for time served or if it's good time they have knocked off.

If someone got 4 years at 50% then they would do 2 years, that is automatic.  If he got 4 years at 85% then he would do 3 yrs 4months.

They then could earn time off for classes/programs (if eligible) and if he is eligible for SSC, he could earn another six months off.
